Welcome, 3rd trimester!

That’s correct, as of Tuesday July 26th I am officially in my 3rd trimester of pregnancy. What does this mean, you ask?
Well, apparently I will sleep even less than I did in the other 2 trimesters.
I will feel as if there is an elephant sitting on my chest from time to time (this usually occurs whilst I attempt to fall asleep).
I will not be able to sit with my legs crossed. (Note: My mother would approve of this. She once told me that it was inappropriate for ladies to sit with their legs crossed…. Then I pointed out how the nun in the pew next to us during Sunday mass sat with her legs crossed and that ended that discussion. )
I will feel (and see) my son rolling around in my belly more prominently.
I will laugh hysterically at things that aren’t really that funny.
I will cry easily and often….usually because I am laughing too hard.
I will learn to eat things that I don’t mind tasting for hours afterward.
I will run into stationary objects, trip over area rugs that have always been there and simply not be able to keep a solid grip on my fork, slices of pizza or my cell phone (nothing new there, really).

On the agenda this weekend is a get together at the lake with the MacDonald clan (Matt's Mom’s side of the family) on Saturday.
Sunday Matt and I will be visiting a new church to see how we feel about it. I will have more on our church search as we move forward.

Have a splendid weekend!

The Weekly Rundown

Well, here we are again. It’s Friday!

It’s been a busy week. Here’s the rundown.

Saturday I mowed the lawn in the back of the house. Matt wasn’t impressed when he found out about this (he was off running errands at the time). I saw nothing wrong with it. Before Matt and I were married if I wanted these things done I simply did them myself. I am a lot of things…a nag isn’t one of them.
Note: Matt seemed to grow even more upset with this when one of his co-workers wanted to know why he pregnant wife was mowing the (expletive) lawn. That’s what we get for living on Route 302… oops.

Sunday we drove to Manchester N.H. to attend the Jack and Jill party of the future Mr. and Mrs. James Caton. I won 2 raffles at this party. A basket full of Tupperware (most of which I have no idea how to use) and a basket with body wash, lotions, a massage gift card and other spa-like things. Matt didn’t win anything. I offered to share my Lime Verbena and Coconut body wash with him.

Monday I read at Iris Network after work. We are almost done with Angels and Demons by Dan Brown.

Tuesday…. I have no recollection of.

Wednesday my cousin and I went grocery shopping after work. She bought four gallons of milk. I bought four yogurts…

Yesterday my wonderful husband went to Lowes and set up an appointment to have someone come out to the house and measure for a screen/storm door! This is wonderful news… I have been waiting for a screen door!
He also made the bed, picked up the living room (both chores I MUST do when I get home from work before I can relax), put the A.C. in the living room window, and had burgers on the grill by the time I got home. I’m pretty sure I am the luckiest girl in the world.

My BFF Shannon decided that I needed to add more items to my registry at Babies R Us. We both agreed to do this yesterday evening so we could soak up the retail A.C. while we were at it. This turned out to be a great call and more fun than one would think.

Tonight I will be soaking up some more A.C. at Pizza Hut with J-Dog. Matt refuses to eat Pizza Hut. I have a craving. J-Dog loves Pizza Hut as much as I do… it’s a beautiful friendship.

Enjoy your weekend friends.

Stay Cool!

Buoys, cocktail weenies and swollen insects.

This is my first time blogging this week… I’m such a slacker.

It has been a warm week. Monday and Tuesday were the worst.  Monday Matt kindly put the air conditioner in the bedroom window… I slept like a baby.

Tuesday we made a trip to Bob and Wilma’s camp on Little Sebago for a quick dip. A big thanks to Mr. and Mrs. Reed for allowing us to pop in for a swim when it gets too sticky. It is very much appreciated! I’m pretty sure I resembled a large buoy floating on the lake.

Wednesday it cooled down enough to turn the stove on and whip up some mashed potatoes to go with steak on the grill…. My toes started to resemble cocktail weenies around 6pm.

Last night we went to Josh Reed’s little league game. They lost, unfortunately. It was the finals, or the super bowl or the playoffs or whatever…. I had an ice cream sandwich cookie thing, I didn’t get hit with a fly ball and I am starting to resemble a tick.

This weekend it’s supposed to be really nice!

Sunday should be another sticky day, though.

That’s okay, ticks like the heat.

It's not you... it' me.

I have come to realize, as I get older, that things I used to find enjoyable/acceptable now drive me bonkers!!!

For one, I can’t stand talking on the phone. I used to enjoy it! I always had a phone stuck to the side of my head. Now (when I’m not working) I find myself purposely leaving my phone behind. Maybe it’s because I’m on the phone all day at work. Maybe it’s because I am just getting only and ornery.  Either way… don’t take it personal if I don’t answer the phone. It’s not you, it’s me.

Another peeve…. sappy reality shows, sitcoms and made for t.v. movies. I used to LOVE this stuff! Now, the minute the cue the “tear-jerking-theme-music” I am rolling my eyes, cursing under my breath and scrambling to change the channel. I know they do it for ratings; people eat that stuff up! It’s not the producers fault, it’s me.

And finally… socialism. I used to believe that “distribution of wealth” was a good idea! Then I started paying $10,000 a year in taxes because I was single and successful, while other people I knew were collecting “unemployment” so they could go to school. Really?? I used to work full time AND go to school. What happened to that mentality? If you want it bad enough, you work hard and do whatever it takes to make it happen. I could go on and on about this subject. But I'm sure its not the people who are looking for the hand out, it’s me.

Also, my friend Malorie had her baby yesterday! Little Miss Luci :) Can’t wait to meet her!

Off to Glenda Mary’s this evening for a cookout and fireworks.

I hope a wonderful weekend is had by all!

See you next week!

This and that....

I have been at “The Edge” all this week. For those of you who are unaware, I usually spend Monday through Friday on the road. Not this week. I am covering for a co-worker AND making sure all my daily duties are met… it’s a busy week.

The good news is, it’s Thursday, not Wednesday
.
I have also come to realize, that having the air conditioner set at 72 degrees feels completely different from having the heat set at 72 degrees… I am FREEZING! What’s up with that?

Mr. Fenton brought me cookies today. There were 4 in the bag. I had 1 chocolate chip and ½ a peanut butter. The bag is now empty… somebody must really care about my sugar intake.

I had a doctor’s appointment on Tuesday. It was the last ultrasound I will have (unless there are any inconsistencies or complications).

4th of July weekend was great! Spent Saturday at Matt's friend’s camp.  Sunday at Jeanna and Cato’s for a cookout and get together. Monday at the Reed’s camp on Little Sebago, followed by fireworks at Payson Park. Overall it was a splendid holiday weekend!

My friend Malorie went into the hospital today to have her baby! We are excited to meet her new little bundle.
Good Luck Mal and Joe!

Steak on the grill tonight… side dishes to be determined.

Ciao for now!
